Lost or found

Crowded space
Busy place
Hustling bustling
Echoes of travellers resound
Pictures flash colour
Across my mind
Everyone’s story
Laid on the ground
From place to place
Dust to dust
Each passing moment
Lost or found
Each passing day
Like clouds swept away

Day and night

Early morning rising
Before the sun appears
The colour of night fades
As dawn awakens and shines
Upon my head
Shadows spread out
Across the day
Reminding me
Dusk is on its way
The light of night
The shades of day
The two become one
And slip away

Captive thoughts

Thoughts layered across my mind
Like ancient terraces spread out
Over mountain tops
Then descending into valleys low
Who can gather them all in
Like a stallion
They run wild
As the sun and moon
Rise and set
So these thoughts
Will rise and set
Brought captive
To the Living God
The mind of Christ
By faith
Now mine

Oh man oh man what have you done

From ancient days till now
Our breath goes on
The days under the sun unceasing
Our walk goes on
Our legs grow tired
The days under the sun unceasing
Oh man Oh man
What have you done
What have you done with your days
Oh man Oh man
What have you done
What have you done with you’re breath

Banyan tree

Under the shade
Of the great Bunyan tree
I’ve come to sit
I’ve come to be
To feel the whispers of its leaves
To hear the stories beneath its branches
To know the beauty of each passing day
To see the glory of each rising dawn
Each setting sun
In quietness and gentleness
I place my trust
Under the shade
Of the great Bunyan tree
